Walk a Mile

It seems I need to walk more than that though! I'm not on a diet, yet! I really haven't tried dieting because I always hear that diets don't really work (or do they?) If ever I am going to try dieting, I want diet plans that work and not just temporarily. It is also harder to lose weight when you are in your 40's, believe me. It didn't help that I had my son at 39 years old but you know what? Having two children in my 30's was worth it. I enjoyed my 20's fully and wasn't tied down. I don't have any regrets about that.

Gaining Weight Over the Holidays

Okay, Thanksgiving just passed and so far so good. No major weight gain to report. Yes! But it is just the start of the holiday season so no reason to celebrate yet, it is too early. The key is moderation, try a little bit of everything but not too much! Or else, you'd be searching how to lose weight fast in Google. hahaha

Weight Loss Ads

I always see those weight loss commercials everyday. They have people's testimonies, that they loss a certain number of pounds just by taking this certain pill or food substitute. I always look at these with skepticism. One should not believe these commercials, or at least take it with a grain of salt. I would rather believe the weight loss success stories of people I know or hear it from friends of friends. I know of one fool proof way of losing weight and it is less calorie in and lots of exercise!

Holidays..Family..Friends...Food (Ugh!)

I love the holidays! Most specifically, Christmas! I get to see family and friends that I don't see much during the year. It would be nice to see them often but we don't live close to each other. Of course, with any kind of gathering with families and friends, there are an abundance of food...good food. I will definitely need some kind of appetite suppressants. All of my friends make good food and it's going to be hard not to try all of it. I'll have to get a little bit of everything and that's it. I promise...

Losing Weight

How do we get rid of these stubborn pounds? Don't suggest training for the marathon, I'll probably pass out after two miles! Plus, I have bad knees from my days doing Jazzercise, it was fun though. I wish there was something like it close to where I live now. It seems more popular in California where I lived for 12 years. It gets harder too when you reach middle age. I heard of people doing the colon cleanse but have not tried it. I don't know if I will either.

A Never Ending Battle

I'm one of those women that are not born thin. If I eat as much as a teaspoon of Haagen Daaz, I can assure you that I will gain 5 lbs! I used to exercise a lot when I was still single, then when the kids came, time disappeared. I don't want to use weight loss pills because it may be dangerous and it's not regulated by the FDA. So I just need to motivate myself to walk and exercise and start losing these extra pounds.
