Mommy Moments#4 - Preggy Days

I was 8 months pregnant with my daughter in this photo. As you can see, I'm wearing a tent. LOL She was born 2 1/2 weeks later. She was 3 weeks early because I had to be induced since my BP was through the roof. I knew that I was having a girl early on. I even had a dream about a little girl. A lot of my friends told me that I was going to have a girl because I was "blooming" and they were right. My ultrasound showed that I was carrying a girl.

I was about 4 months pregnant with my son. I didn't get much bigger than this photo. In fact, I didn't gain much weight. They checked his progress through ultrasound and he was growing great. I think I only gained 8 lbs. He was born a month early because of my pre-eclampsia. In both pregnancies, I didn't have the classic symptoms of this disease. I didn't have water retention and other stuff. My doctors commented that I'm the exception to the rule. Like my first pregnancy, I was also induced because of my high BP. There's an old wives' tale in the Philippines that your face changes when you're carrying a boy. I believe that. I was looking at my photos from both pregnancies and my face definitely changed when I was pregnant with my son. My neck also got darker. Do you believe in those things?

I am glad that nothing happened to your babies even though your BP is high..

In my case that tale is not rue.. when I got pregnant with my second child, I was in bloom and every one thought that it is a girl, I even prepared a girl name..turns out a boy.. it was the same with my third baby. I was also in bloom but it is a boy again.. he he ..

We hope to have a baby girl and kahit magmukha pa ako mangkukulam pag nabuntis basta girl, carry un. LOL

oh yes! i believe it so. when i was pregnant with my son, not only my neck was darker but also the rest of my body - legs, armpits. around my face. i felt ugly! but those are pregnancy-related changes only - good thing!
